Episode 13: Brother's Keeper

Co-Producer Jackie Marchand
Written by John Tellegen
Directed by Jonathan Brough

Summary: Scott and Dillon have a race to see whose car is faster, but then Tenaya 7 and Grinders show up. A Lightning Bot shows up and blasts Dillon. The Grinders are defeated. Tenaya 7 placed a device on the back of Dillon's neck.

Later that night, shield levels begin decreasing. They find Dillon inside the lab and has lost control of himself and is ripping out wires to the computers. Scott finds the little remote flash device on the back of Dillon's neck, and Summer kicks it off of him.

Dr. K explains that when the remote bug was activated, it downloaded an acceleration upgrade into the viral hardware already growing inside Dillon, and the Venjix hardware inside him is now taking over his biological being at a rate 50 times greater than it was before. They realize that the Lightning Bot activated the device, and if they get its circuit board, they could hack it and use it to slow down the virus inside Dillon. So they lure the Attack Bot by lowering their shields.

The Lightning Bot is taken out by Rangers Red and Black using the Wheel Blasters. Venjix makes the Attack Bot grow. The Rangers form Zenith Megazord and destroy the Lightning Bot. Ranger Yellow retrieves the circuit board from the rubble.

Dillon looses control again. Flynn explains that the circuit board is encrypted, and they can't decrypt it without the base code, the original code used to program the Venjix Virus. Dillon returns to normal. Summer explains that the virus has slowed back to its original growth rate. Dr. K explains that she entered the base code for the Venjix Virus, and she knows it because she wrote it and is the one who released the Venjix Virus, and everything they've all been through is all her fault.
