Episode 4: Go For the Green

Co-Producer Jackie Marchand
Written by Jackie Marchand
Directed by Jonathan Brough

Summary: The team searches for a suitable Operator for the Series Green technology. Ziggy hosts the Ranger Auditions, while Scott, Flynn and Summer are the judges. Dr. K explains to Dillon that each color of the Ranger Series is designed to configure the movement of electrons within the energy biofield in a configuration that bends Time and Space in order to achieve a specific function. Series Blue Suit is designed for time-field manipulation, it can halt the movement of electrons through the entire biofield, suspending time for 10 seconds. Series Yellow is able to read energy signatures and focus the flow into concentrated surges. Red suit is designed to channel the bio-energy field for a three-second burst attack. And as the Operator of the Series Black technology, Dillon's suit is enabled with an invincibility shield that will make him completely impervious to any attack for a period of five seconds. Theoretically, when his shield is fully powered, he can withstand a direct blast of a 40-megapulse explosion. The judges are not pleased with Ziggy's choice of Green Ranger candidates, so Ziggy goes out into the hall to find a suitable candidate, but instead finds Fresno Bob with two of his goons, who Ziggy owes $5 Million too. Bob's two boys carry Ziggy outside to pound it out of him.

Generals Shifter and Crunch unleash their subterranean plutonic Gopher-Bot to dig underground right into Corinth City. Whistling to the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell" is heard, a young lady shows up and saves Ziggy from Bob and his boys. Before leaving, Bob explains to Ziggy that all five of "The Scorpion Cartels" know he's back in town, so he better come by the horse track, and he better have what he owes them. The young lady explains that she'll now go wait back in line for the Ranger Tryouts Program. But Ziggy tells her right there that she has what it takes to be a Ranger. Unfortunately, the young lady is actually a Venjix Attack Bot.

The young lady introduces herself as Tenaya Sevenson, a former News-Helicopter Pilot, and goes through basic testing and is off the charts, like Dillon was. Ziggy goes to get the Green morpher to bring back for Tenaya. Dr. K explains to Ziggy that he must guard that morpher with his life. But when Ziggy returns to Tenaya with the morpher, Ziggy learns that she is really an evil robotic imposter -- Tenaya, Generation 7, Venjix human infiltration Attack Bot. "I am your thoughts and minds. I am mankind's unconscious being. I am the final evolution of..." Ziggy contacts the others and informs them of this new Attack Bot. Ziggy lures Tenaya 7 to Bob and his boys. Ziggy tries to escape with Dillon, but Tenaya catches up to them. "...I am mankind's subconscious being. I am the final..." Tenaya 7 gets her hands on the morpher. So to protect it, Ziggy bonds his DNA with it and becomes the Green Ranger. Tenaya 7 explains that the Gopher-Bot is already within the walls of the city.

The Rangers attack the Gopher-Bot, but the Gopher-Bot escapes underground. Rangers Green and Black combine their weapons to form Turbo Plasma Launcher and take out the Gopher-Bot. Venjix then makes the Gopher-Bot grow. The Rangers form High Octane Megazord and destroy the Gopher-Bot with the Super Saber's finisher.

Back at base, the others learn that Ziggy is the Green Ranger, and they aren't pleased.
