Summary: Scott, Flynn and Summer show Dillon their home base, the "Garage." Dr. K. explains that three years before the Venjix Virus attack, she was the leader of a research team developing exoskeletal robotic suits to amplify human strength and speed. They were attempting to harness the human body's natural electrical output to prolong the suit's battling life when they had a breakthrough -- the discovery of a universal bioelectric field -- an unseen energy grid that connects the life force of all living things. Manipulating this field allowed for unimagined advancements in technology, including the Ranger Prototype Series Covert Infantry Bio Suits. And they are NOT SPANDEX, the material is a self-assembling Nanofiber formed with an Intracellular sheet of memory alloy. Dillon tells them that he doesn't belong there and is not cut out to be a part of their team, as Ranger Operator Series Black. Dillon decides to do the basic testing, his scores are extremely high. Scott and Flynn still don't trust him.

Venjix sends out his Generation-9 Amphibious Attack Bot, and explains that the Hydraulic Circulatory System will allow it to enter Corinth through the city's water supply.

Summer: Corinth City -- self-sustained, self-contained living environment. Everything's Recycled. Everything's Programmed, even the weather. Summer explains to Dillon that once his DNA is bonded to the Series-Black Morpher, it's permanent. Dillon tells her not to trust him to it all and explains that someone trusted him to save them once, but he's still out there looking for them, even though he can't remember who they are. It rains, Dillon decides to do it, but on one condition - Ziggy is to be freed from prison, because he can make "Shadow Puppets." Dr. K: Series Black DNA Morph-Bonding Sequence Initiated. Series Black online. Ziggy, a big fan of the Rangers, takes some pictures. Ziggy then makes the misstake of asking Dr. K, "what's with the Spandex?" Dr. K orders Ziggy to scrub the floors with a toothbrush.

Dillon has a memory flash of the person he's searching for, then asks Ziggy for a way out of the city. Ziggy explains they vent propane gas from station 19 at dawn, but would only have two seconds in between burns. Dillon takes Scott's car and leaves.

The Attack Bot (Water Hoser) makes it inside the city walls and releases Shield-Disruption Mist, allowing Venjix to send in an entire fleet of Grinders. Dillon waits and prepares to escape through station 19. The Rangers destroy some Grinders, then attack Water Hoser. Water Hoser escapes into the harbor through the City's main waterline and grows. Ah, the Statue of Liberty is in Corinth City! The Rangers run into an army of Grinders, and quickly run out of power. Ziggy taps the Rangers' feed into the radio transmission for Dillon to hear. Dillon decides to turn back and help them. Dillon morphs into Ranger Black to take on the Grinders while the others form High Octane Megazord. The Generation-9 Attack Bot is destroyed by the Megazord's Super Saber finisher. Ranger Black destroys all the Grinders.
